SMS is headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, and has 20 branch offices across the country. It employs more than 65,000 independent semi-captive and captive agents under contract in all 50 states.

Senior Market Sales partners with over 100 top national insurance carriers, including AIG, American National, Mutual of Omaha, Prudential, Foresters Financial, Assurity, and Transamerica.

Products Sold And Market Focus

Senior Market Sales has one of the most complete product portfolios in the senior market. Their products are geared towards the 50 years old and up senior segment of the population.

The company markets health insurance, dental insurance, travel insurance, life insurance, annuities, long term care (LTC), Medicare supplement, and many other insurance products.

The Senior Market Sales life insurance policies include:

    • Final expense insurance

    • Guaranteed universal life insurance

    • Survivorship insurance

How Leads Work

The Senior Market Sales website provides extensive information about how their leads work.

They offer low-cost exclusive and industry-standard lead programs, including telemarketed leads, direct mail leads, internet leads, as well as prospect lists for Medicare Supplement agents from Mutual of Omaha.

Leads are available for all the SMS insurance products, and real-time leads are delivered immediately to agents as they are being generated. What’s more, Senior Market Sales agents are eligible for steep discounts and free lead credits from several top-rated lead vendors.

Producers have access to SMS call recordings to verify lead interest levels, in addition to customer service that responds within 24 hours.

Senior Market Sales organizes on-demand lead generation webinar series for agents, designed to show them how industry experts generate leads. The webinars feature different solutions for email, website, and social marketing, as well as direct mail marketing campaigns.

How Getting Paid Works

Like most insurance companies, Senior Market Sales doesn’t publish its commissions for agents on its website. As an independent insurance agent, you can expect to be paid a small salary with a commission and a possible bonus.

SMS focuses on training new and established agents. Their extensive online training library contains videos created by senior insurance experts to show agents how to best market and grow their business, special reports, white papers and guides, and the latest industry news and updates.

The company offers a range of software and tools, such as Carrier Forms Database, Lead Advantage Pro management tool, custom website building, and online contracting. These tools are specifically designed to help insurance agents simplify and manage their business.

Is It A Scam, MLM, Pyramid Scheme?

Senior Market Sales is not a scam but a legitimate company with over 30 years of presence in the senior market. The agency has excellent financial ratings, including a superior A+ rating with BBB.

SMS is not a multi-level marketing (MLM) business opportunity or pyramid scheme. The company doesn’t have multiple layers of agents, mentors, and trainers and is not suitable for agents who are primarily looking to recruit.
