About Global Premier Benefits

Global Premier Benefits is a marketing organization for senior insurance products, such as life insurance, Medicare Advantage, and Medicare Supplement, and annuities.

The company was founded in 2000 by Tony and Kathleen Holland and is headquartered in Owings Mills, Maryland. It services 15 states and the District of Columbia.

Products Sold And Market Focus

The insurance products of Global Premier Benefits, including life, health, and annuity products, are specifically crafted to support Medicare beneficiaries and their families. The products are targeted mostly towards senior customers aged 65 and older.

Global Premier Benefits partners with leading companies like Cigna that provide Medicare benefits.

Global Premier Benefits agents always start by providing a free financial consultation to a client. They help potential customers determine what portion of their monthly income they spend on health insurance, copays, premiums, prescriptions, and related expenses. Then also identify federal or private programs that their customers may qualify for and show them how they can obtain the necessary funds to pay for their health care.

How Leads Work

Global Premier Benefits provides free exclusive leads in addition to participating in subsidized lead purchase programs in partnership with companies like Benepath

Benepath offers special lead prices for Global Premier Benefits agents:

  • Medicare supplement: $29.95 statewide and $34.95 local, and
  • Life and final expense: $29.95 statewide and $39.95 local.

The pricing of aged health leads is as follows:

  • 150 aged leads for $300
  • 500 aged leads for $750
  • 1,000 aged leads for $1,000.

Benepath provides search-generated leads, branded thank you pages, and real-time delivery. The leads are exclusive, high-contact rate (prospects who are actively searching online will expect a call from an agent), and posted directly to the agent’s CRM or sent as notifications through email and text.

How Getting Paid Works

Global Premier Benefit offers carrier-direct paid commissions and guarantees weekly pay on commissions.

The company also provides agent support and training where insurance agents can learn how to:

  • Approach the target market of seniors who are looking for health insurance solutions.
  • Help clients identify different state, federal, and private programs that can reduce their medical costs.
  • Continue growing their business throughout the year, beyond the traditional Medicare enrollment periods.
  • Obtain a comprehensive review of Medicare benefits and policies for senior citizens.
  • Make informed choices in an ever-changing insurance market.

Is It A Scam, MLM, Pyramid Scheme?

If you are an insurance agent considering working for Global Premier Benefits, you may be wondering whether the company is a scam or a legitimate organization. The good news is, this is a reputable company with over 20 years in business and good financial ratings. It has a superior A+ rating from Better Business Bureau (BBB).

Besides, this is not a multi-level marketing (MLM) or a pyramid-scheme organization, which means that you will not be expected to recruit other agents as your “downline”. You will work directly with and earn commissions from the Global Premier Benefits partner carriers.

My Thoughts

Now that you have a better idea about how a career selling insurance with Global Premier Benefits works, I’d like to provide my experience and knowledge as an insurance agent since 2011 and as an insurance agency owner since 2014.

I hope my opinion will help you find a suitable insurance agency to join.

Mastering One Product Strategy

When you are considering a career in selling insurance, I believe the best strategy is to master one single product. Specialization will allow you to stay focused and become an expert in your niche. In fact, many six-figure producers in my insurance agency only sell one type of product.

On the contrary, if you try to learn multiple products with different underwriting requirements, you will quickly get overwhelmed. You’ll also be more likely to lose interest in the insurance business and quit.

No matter whether you join the Global Premier Benefits or another insurance agency, make sure that the company focuses on specialization rather than generalization.
