How Do You Find Prospects

Allstate has a large pool of customers that they claim are untapped.

You can also find prospects via partnerships with Allstate agents. Those partnerships are particularly useful for finding prospects, as you can cross-sell retirement and life solutions to existing Allstate customers.

Additionally, the agents you partner with as a personal financial representative are familiar with the needs of their customers, increasing your chances of conversion.

Special Marketing and Sales Programs

As mentioned, personal financial representatives get exclusive partnerships with several Allstate agents.

This partnership brings you commissions, renewals, and trails, while the agents receive a P&C bonus and improved customer retention.

You also get access to the customer protection reviews and customer needs analysis from Allstate, both of which help you with targeting prospects.

Allstate does not outline its commissions, but it does refer to the plan as among the most competitive in the industry, as there is no limit to your earnings potential.

Is Allstate a Scam/Pyramid Scheme/MLM?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfQiJ8Db6xo&t=218s

Allstate is not a scam, pyramid scheme, or insurance MLM. You can be confident in this thanks to its strong reviews and the company’s nearly 85-year history, as well as its status as a Fortune 100 company.

The moderately strong ratings from past employees cement this reputation. In addition to the 3.8/5 overall rating on Indeed, past employees rated Allstate at 3.7/5 for work-life balance and 3.4 for pay and benefits.

My Thoughts

Now that you know a little more about how Allstate Works, I’d like to provide my perspective as an independent agent.

Only selling one product and its downsides

When you work for Allstate, you only sell one particular line of products, and that’s the insurance products Allstate offers.

While these products may be great, the problem is they won’t necessarily be the best choice for every single prospect that you present to.

For example, if a client is looking for a particular line of insurance and they come to you to see what Allstate provides, you may find that your price or underwriting is not as advantageous as other insurance organizations.

In other words, this means you may sell less coverage for one company than you would if you were an independent agent.

An independent agent typically sells a multitude of insurance products as well as a variety of insurance products.

This means the independent agent can typically help more people out than the person who only represents one company.

It’s very important that you keep that in mind in your search for an insurance sales organization to join.
