Step 1: Get AHIP

If you have NOT passed the AHIP exam, you MUST do this first.

Please do NOT move forward with ANY contracting until AHIP is completed!

Step 2: Financial Fraud, Chargebacks, & Vector-One

Please Read ALL Of This Memo BEFORE Proceeding!

For all new agents, you MUST watch the video below AND read the following memorandum on chargebacks, Vector-One, and the aggressive prosecution of financial fraud before proceeding any further with contracting.

Step 3: Identity Verification

Please click the Berbix logo below to begin the cost-free identify verification process (takes no more than 3 minutes to complete).

NOTE: After you submit your Berbix identify verification request, please continue the process in STEP 3. We will NOT follow up regarding the identity verification results unless there is an issue.

Step 4: Required Lead Deposit

Watch this video below *completely* before proceeding:

We require most (not all) agents to pay a refundable deposit fee towards leads. This deposit is refunded as long as you:

  1. Buy leads within 45 days of joining DIG to sell Medicare, or,
  2. Sell a policy through Duford Insurance Group within 45 days of paying the deposit.

Experienced agents with a recent history of buying leads are an exception to this requirement. You’ll be requested to send in evidence of a recent lead purchase to bypass this requirement.

Are you an exception or think you’re an exception the the $500 refundable deposit requirement? Click here and submit a message to our support team, and we’ll be in touch ASAP.

NOTE: Please do NOT proceed any further UNTIL you have either paid your deposit or have received a confirmed exception from paying your deposit.

Step 5: Begin Medicare Pre-Contracting

Once you’ve paid the refundable $500 deposit fee, click the image below to begin the Medicare Advantage pre-contracting process:

VERY IMPORTANT: Once you complete the pre-contracting, you will receives emails with additional contracting requirements for each carrier.

Please remember to complete those contracting requirements ASAP, and make SURE to check your spam box, as some of those emails end up there.

Step 6: Medicare Supplement/Life/Indemnity Carrier Contracting Directions

Here are the steps to successfully complete your carrier contracting below:

  1. Create your SuranceBay Account (see video below for details).
  2. Submit appropriate commission levels using the form below.

Important Note About Direct Deposit Setup

We are not able to accept starter/convenience checks, deposit slips, or direct deposit forms.

Please submit a voided check with a valid check number, which matches the Account Name, Bank Name, Account Number, and Routing Number in SuranceBay.

If your account does not have checks, please provide a letter from your bank on bank letterhead, signed by a bank officer with their title clearly indicated, stating the bank account owner name, the ABA/Routing number used for direct deposits, and the bank account number and type.

Suggested Carriers To Select

For Medicare Supplement/Life Carriers, choose the following:

  • Mutual Of Omaha
  • Aetna

For Hospital Indemnity Carriers, choose the following:

  • Heartland Life (NOTE: please email Karra@360fgllc.com to request)
  • Guarantee Trust Life

NOTE: Please check the carrier state availability guide here to ensure the suggested.

Getting Stuck Completing Your SuranceBay Account?

If stuck, go ahead and email Marty Waters our executive onboarder at marty@dufordig.com the email and password you selected on SuranceBay.

Marty may end up having to log in to get you unstuck, and having your account credentials ahead of time will hasten the process.

VERY IMPORTANT – Do This Task AFTER Submitting Contracting On SuranceBay (NOT Before!)

Once you submit contracting on SuranceBay, you MUST submit commission levels via the form below.

This tells our contracting people what your commission levels are, and alerts them to begin submitting your producer contracts to each carrier.
