Step 1: Financial Fraud, Chargebacks, & Vector-One
Please Read ALL Of This Memo BEFORE Proceeding!
For all new agents, you MUST watch the video below AND read the following memorandum on chargebacks, Vector-One, and the aggressive prosecution of financial fraud before proceeding any further with contracting.
Step 2: Identity Verification
Please click the Berbix logo below to begin the cost-free identify verification process (takes no more than 3 minutes to complete).
NOTE: After you submit your Berbix identify verification request, please continue the process in STEP 3. We will NOT follow up regarding the identity verification results unless there is an issue.
Step 3: Lead Deposit

Zelle is most likely readily available at your bank; you’ll need to access your banking account to set it up.

2. Fill out the submission form below acknowledging payment of your refundable deposit:
IMPORTANT: All new Duford Insurance Group agents MUST pay the refundable $500 deposit, no exceptions whatsoever.
Step 4: Create Your SuranceBay Account & Select Your Carriers
IMPORTANT: Please read everything below to find the steps the contract on SuranceBay
When prompted, ONLY Choose The Following 3 Carriers To Start!
- Prosperity Life (NOTE: request contracting here, NOT on SuranceBay! Also, when prompted, please select “General Agent,” “9 months on ISSUE,” with a $3000 max advance, and make SURE you complete Prosperity’s own AML program.)
- AIG (may be listed as American General)
- Guarantee Trust Life
NOTE: If any carriers are locked up, please contact Marty Waters at [email protected] for alternates.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Please check the carrier state availability guide here to ensure the suggested carriers above are available. If not, check the “Telesales Friendly Carrier” tab for other carrier ideas you can use instead.
For New York Resident Agents: You cannot sell final expense in person in New York – you’ll have to sell over the phone or drive to other states and sell there. If this is an issue, let Marty know at [email protected] ASAP.
Did You Select Carriers That Are NOT On The Approved List Above?
You MUST request approval from contracting for any carriers you select *other than the primary and backup carriers listed above.
Understand that overloading yourself with carriers is not a smart idea. More complication equals a higher failure rate. Keep things simple!
Please note that we do not accept appointments for the following carriers for new agents to DIG until we have several months of solid production history:
- Royal Neighbors Of America
- Aetna/American Continental

Important Note About Direct Deposit Setup
We are not able to accept starter/convenience checks, deposit slips, or direct deposit forms.
Please submit a voided check with a valid check number, which matches the Account Name, Bank Name, Account Number, and Routing Number in SuranceBay.
If your account does not have checks, please provide a letter from your bank on bank letterhead, signed by a bank officer with their title clearly indicated, stating the bank account owner name, the ABA/Routing number used for direct deposits, and the bank account number and type.
How To Complete AML Training
Many carriers will also require you to complete Anti-Money Laundering Training. See the video directly above for guidance on how to do that.
SuranceBay also has one available for free inside of your account once you’re in the AML section as well you can complete.
Getting Stuck Completing Your SuranceBay Account?
If stuck, go ahead and email Marty Waters at [email protected] over the email and password you selected on SuranceBay.
He may end up having to log in to get you unstuck, and having your account credentials ahead of time will hasten the process.
Contracting Turnaround Time & Status Checking
NOTE: It takes 2 weeks to fully appoint you AFTER submitting the contracts on SuranceBay.

Step 5: Getting A Release Of Existing Carriers to Move To DIG

Please download and complete the release here – Blank Release Form.
Email the signed release once you get your old upline’s signature.
We’ll send it into the carriers and make sure your release is processed along with your carrier contracts.

NOTE: You must complete the sign up form below to complete your onboarding process failure to do that will delay your contracting.
